like everyone else that's exactly my level of Online, i've been swept up in geesemania lately. the new album is great, but it led to me finding frontman cameron winter's solo stuff, which i find even more special. his vocals have a warbly outsider twinge to them that is so expressive and affecting to me. the tender groove of this song has me playing it on repeat. |

the feminine urge - the last dinner party |
i knew zero songs by the last dinner party when i saw them at all things go festival this past friday night. by the end of their set, i was a fan. few bands have this much pure energy and (sorry) aura on stage, but their recordings go just as hard. i'm enjoying their entire first album prelude to ectasy as well as their new singles. this melody is the one that's stuck with me hardest. |

djo - the crux |
djo's decide was one of my favorite albums of 2022 (not to flex but i was listening to end of beginning on repeat a full year before it popped off on tiktok). i have yet to listen to the entirety of his most recent album, but i'm seeing him at a music festival this weekend so i've been catching up on the new songs that are on his setlist. i miss the electronic influences of the last album, but i'm enjoying how catchy and breezy the new songs are. |

flex alert: i saw them this past weekend in tampa! they were my first favorite band, and it was so special to see them play songs that mean so much to me. quite possibly the best show i've ever been to, even better than the first time i saw them 17 years ago. |
